A Sweet Random Act of Kindness

After work tonight, we were both too tired to cook so I stopped by to get take out from the new Chipotle in Salem. For once the parking lot wasn't packed. (We had this chain in Denver and loved it, but this is the first one nearby us now).

When I pulled up, there was a young guy at the ATM in front. By the time I figured out which button was for the door in my new car, the window had gone up and down a few times, he was inside and just ahead of me in line. He was ordering (a very detailed, picky order by the way)... he looked at me waiting next in line and said "sorry I'm a trouble maker." I nodded in agreement and said "Yes, I figured that out the minute I walked in the door." He said "I like you, you're spunky! You pulled up with your stereo blasting Lenny Kravitz, you're cool." Of course I thanked him (but the music thing was probably a download mistake I made on itunes looking for the Moody Blues or Elton John from back in the day). I downloaded a REAL naughty one by some other guy by mistake a few months ago and loved the beat. When I finally realized what he was saying I nearly died. I digress.

Anyway, I was waiting for my take out to be finished and he came back to me and said "I like you, you are so much fun! I paid for one of your dinners." OH MY GOSH. What a sweet guy. I hugged him and thanked him and told him that I would "pay it forward." I told him what a wonderful thing it was to do something so nice, especially after a hard day at work (since people yell and cuss at us at all the time).

AH, what a breath of fresh air he was. (And I usually get myself in trouble for being a smarty pants, this is the one time it worked in reverse)! Hurray for nice people!

I'll let ya know what I figure out for my RAK. Hugs everyone!
