What in the World am I Doing?

As my husband would say... hard telling! I seem to ask myself this question a lot! Oh well, ya might as well make life interesting! So are you wondering what these are? (Hint, 2nd gold box down on my right sidebar)! Yep, KC's Altar and Shrine on-line workshop! I can hardly wait! Some people were having trouble coming up with ideas, and KC showed many in her video, so that was great, but more ideas can't hurt me right? That's where YOU come in. More on that later. (Giveaway coming here on my blog)!

Nope, you won't have to go to a million different blogs and sites and post here and there, or tweet or do a math problem, or mention my blog, do x,y, and z to get extra credit, or hold your right foot in the air with your left hand with a rose between your teeth while balancing a teapot on your head. It will just be a simple drawing for some awesome vintage goodies. Tune in to my post next week for the deets. (I'm busy packing for my workshop weekend/girl time/retreat, 3 days doing what I LOVE)! Can you tell I'm excited?!

The fancy little white box above I think will be my first "shrine", because it should be easy... I bought it years ago without knowing why, I just loved it!

This one below is already a vintage handmade yard shrine, so it seems easy at first blush, but I'll have the size of the items to consider, and the bottom front part is blocked, so I'll have to do something in front of that part...

This old drawer below was given to me by Joy several months ago, for a purpose just like this project for someone very special. Isn't it cool?
The one below is my fave so far I think. I got it at Vintage Roost the other day. I've had my eye on it for some time now, and it was marked down for the sale! I had to get it! Love the bead board, but especially the edging.
I never thought of making the piece below into a shrine. I'm not sure I will, but it is too big to fit in the places I was hoping when I bought it. I do adore it though, the blue inside is beautiful. It's an old salesman's sample case.
This little white drawer would work well I think. I would either keep the knob and embellish it, or find a metal crown or something equally cool.
Of course I only had 3 pieces in mind in my studio when I went to take the pics of them, and I went a little nuts... "oh, I could use this, and This, and maybe This!! So, I kept going my husband called me upstairs to "break the spell" before I got ahold of myself. I think the wire box/cagey thing below with the door would make a cool shrine too.
The notes above are the measurements of each of the pieces which I was going to post on , KC's workshop blog, but I forgot and left it downstairs. Below is a bird cage. A shrine might be a bit of a stretch on this one, but if I think I can't do something it makes me want to try harder.
I found this little game/set of blocks below when I was thrifting with Joy. The shapes and columns in there would make great embellishments! Some of them are even carved with designs! The box itself is great. I would keep the cute cover for a different project. The box itself is split in 3 pieces (all still together though), so I'm thinking I would emphasize those.
Closer up of the little block set/play pieces below. Notice the carving on the rectangle on the left, and the arch on the right. Drybrushing would really bring that detail out. Cool.
I'm not saying they're all going to be shrines, but when I was downstairs looking around, I sure saw a lot of possibilities. (I am easily distracted so I found a lot of other stuff I forgot I had as well)! Good grief!
