Life is far shorter than we imagine

Early Thanksgiving morning Alex, the son of our friends Gail and Bob was killed in a car accident near his home. He was home for the Holiday, and had just arrived earlier in the day (Wednesday). He was in college and had joined a fraternity. Alex should be returning to class tomorrow morning. Instead, his parents are planning his funeral and memorial service. He was a beautiful young man (boy) of 18, with his whole life ahead of him. I am so profoundly sorry for them... from the depths of my heart and soul. I cannot imagine their pain.

What to do? If you're reading this, please pray for them. Prayer works.

I have decided to LIVE more, and quit sitting things out. I am going to quit shying away from being seen because I'm so overweight. I'm going to do the things I've been "meaning" to do, or will do "someday", because someday may never come. I'm going to tell people how much I love them, appreciate them, going to give a word of encouragement, and give a compliment instead of letting it go unsaid. I'm going to see more of my friends, and do more things that are important to me and my family. I am going to pay a lot more attention to life including the little details, and give thanks to God more often for my many blessings. Join me?
