My 96th Post, Life and a Give Away

Geez, Louise have I been having camera/computer problems. My camera brand software doesn't jive with my printer software, my computer software (or now apparently), not even Snapfish. It's taken Me HOURS to get this photo from the camera to the computer, so too bad it's not a better one! I sooooooo need a new faster computer too. I love my laptop but it has gotten sooooooo flippin' slooooowww. With all of my art photos and graphics, this computer just doesn't have what it takes (AND I need Photo Shop)... While I'm dreaming...

BUT isn't the hydrangea "can"/vase pretty? I bought it from a lady who was also a vendor at Diane's show. She was in a booth with Carol Curtis, and I kept calling her "the cute bucket lady" (because I couldn't remember her name), but mostly because she painted the cutest pails and buckets! She probably didn't appreciate it, but I thought it was cute. The hydrangeas are from our front yard, we've had a "bumper crop" this year. Hopefully this year I can dry them without killing them.

Soooooooooo, a lot of people have giveaways for the anniversary of their 100th post and why should I be any different? I am giving away the PRETTIEST wall hanging (I used to sell them)... they are by Moonlight and Roses, and they are to die for. All you have to do to enter is to make a comment on this post and be sure to leave an email address or a blog name so that I can contact the winner! We'll have some sort of a FUN giveaway here at Halo Hill (I don't know how I'll do it yet). However I do the drawing,it will be September 5th. and I'll post the winner's name on the 6th.

I'll post a photo of the prize tomorrow because I'm sure my husband is tired of me fuming and muttering curse words under my breath this evening. Blah, blah, blah.

HEY, speaking of that... have you seen "Blah, Blah, Blahg"? It is the sweetest blog, chic, funny and beautiful. She also has an Etsy store and designs the cutest things. She (Tristan) is a writer too, and young and gorgeous. And isn't that a pretty name? (Why do some girls get ALL the luck)? Anyway, she is a smarty pants like me, which you know I love in a person. AND... she sent me a darling and generous gift for no reason! What a doll. I am hoping huge successes come her way pronto!

Again... I'll post that photo tomorrow too! I have so much to tell you all! It will be easy to get to 100!

  1. Love the hydrangea bucket! And is that a hydrangea painting to the left of the fireplace? cute! I love your 100th blog idea. You're so creative! I'm just glad I was the first to post a comment! Hmmm... wonder how many blogs I've done, probably not half that, maybe because most of mine are 48 pages long each.

  2. I think I love you! Thank you for the kind words! So very thoughtful, now don't let your pals know I was responsible for the post-its that won't stick, it won't go over too well...BTW, get Photoshop Elements, it's basically the same program for a fraction of the cost AND soo much easier to navigate...
