If I could only have one more art piece the rest of my life, I think I just might have to choose this one (above framed in old wood pieces). Well, only if I could snag it from whomever bought it! Oh my gosh. Have you ever heard of KC Willis? I don't know how I found her several weeks ago (well of course, by clicking from blog to blog, site to site) and there she was! I'm thinking I was led to her on purpose. She is an amazing woman! Her work takes my breath away. You'll see what I mean. I don't know where to tell you to start, I am so excited for you to see all of her work.
OH YES, start HERE, here, and here because this might give you a hint as to what I got for my anniversary present! Can you even believe it? I took photos of it but they didn't turn out well. I'll try again tomorrow. Meanwhile, I'm asking KC to send me the original photo of my piece so you can see up close how gorgeous it is. For now, take a look through her site. You'll fall in love with her work!
After you look at her work (don't forget to look at the archives section too)... I have more to tell you about KC! Ok, I have to tell you one thing right now! She is about ready to offer on-line workshops! When you sign up, y0u do the class at your own pace and you have the link forever. You'll be able to refresh your memory as much as you want! The first is "Collage Camp" and I can't wait! Just look at the description and other info about it, and I know you will want to take it too!
Now, you know how much I LOVE art classes, and I don't have to tell you what a big deal the "do at your own pace and review it anytime, and as much as you want" part is!? Oh my gosh, if you're like me and suffer with an illness, you are busy, have kids or a hectic life, this is the way to go! Can you imagine missing something and then being able to go back and see it again?
More about KC tomorrow! (Hint: she's a star)!
