Oh The Places I Go!

This is where I'll be next Saturday.
In Chehalis, Washington.

In the Home Studio of Terri Brush.

Taking a class (she does about a million types of art including paper mache which you can see the bunny below is made of).

I will be learning how to make these gorgeous pieces by Natalie Hansen! You have to look at her website too, she's a dolly! Natalie and Terri are teaching the class together. Natalie the first 1/2 and Terri the second 1/2 (the soldering portion).
Aren't these pieces gorgeous?
They contain more silver than even sterling silver! They are 99.9% pure silver!

On Sunday they will be making the Home necklace above! (Jealous I won't be there for that one), I'll be learning the process in the Saturday class though, and will make some charms of my own to bring home!

Couldn't you die from the lovliness?

These are stunning, and I am SO excited!

BUT, Natalie lives in Lodi, California! She'll have to fly to Portland first!

Someone will have to pick her up at the airport! Well, it happens to be on my way to Chehalis, so I'm going up a day early and chauffeuring her to Terri's house, then we'll both spend the night at Terri's! Won't Natalie feel like she's traveling in style?

What's that you ask? Do I know Natalie, or Terri? Why no, we've never met! You want to know if I'm worried? No, they are both legit, I'll be perfectly safe.

After we get there, we will do some playing and soldering at Terri's and we'll have a lot more fun than these girls below. They look like they don't have their party on! I know we'll be doing a lot of fun things including soldering, but I know Terri does "torch" work and many other types of art work which I haven't yet tried! (That "torch" thing has me a bit worried)... good thing she doesn't know me. (Don't tell her anything about me, k?).

And that will be the beginning of the "sleep over." OH, I forgot to mention that as soon as we get there we are going to go shopping at 2 of my favorite "top secret" antique shopping places in that area, which I haven't been able to visit in a very long time. HURRAY!

I'll be staying in Terri's room, which I am sure looks exactly like this. What about Terri? Oh, she'll be bunking with her teenage son's room! How nice is that?
What's that? You want to come TOO?
Well, you still have time, I have it on good authority that there are a few openings in both the Saturday class and fewer in the Sunday class. Just click on this link (Terri's workshop link), sign up, and we're off to the races! (Er, classes)! Come on along!
