Objects of My Desire! (A few things I -heart).

Aren't these vintage beaded hearts gorgeous?  I'm using them as a symbol to show you some things  I "heart."   You know... poetic license!

I'm always writing about life and friends and shows and family and "touchy feely" stuff so today (because I am spending a lot of time looking at catalogs, reading and turning pages with my left hand) I thought I would show you a few things I adore and wish I could have! You know I'm not materialistic, but seriously... we all go to shows and look at pretty things and buy something little here and there, but if I had a LOT of money, there are a few things I'd like to buy myself.  Disclaimer: You know I would prefer to buy these handmade of course and definitely from a friend if they made such things...

Want to see them?  I know you do!

Oooooooo!  Could you just DIE?  I could!  I spotted this chandelier in the Pottery Barn catalog the other day and fell in love with it!  I thought I'd just keep it in the back of my mind in case I win the lottery.  (I'm told I must first purchase a ticket, so my chances aren't good)!  Ugh  I just adore it.  I've been thinking about if for days!  Because seriously, people what else have I to do right now?

ANYWAY.... it was safely tucked in my mind for future reference and guess what was in my email inbox when I checked it this morning?  Yup, an email ad from Pottery Barn with the Subject line that said "Chandeliers 25% off!"  Do you think it's a conspiracy?  Can they read my mind and then torture me with it?  I don't know, but I'm just sayin'...

And of course, I clicked on the ad, and if I wasn't swooning enough already, I spied these!  Omigosh!  Love, love, LOVE them too.

The conspirators also gave these lamps (which you can also HANG)!  ... deep breath... quite a lovely and seductive name too!  They are called "Olivia Star Mood Lamps"!  What a cool name is that?  They have me hook, line and sinker!  What else did I see?  I stopped looking it was just too overwhelming.  Pottery Barn, if you can hear me, you are very clever with your seductive lights, dreamy names and marketing!  (They already know that, I'm sure).  I'm going to go back to their site and drool again read an educational book now.

  2. Sheila! Pottery Barn .... and then there's Crate and Barrel .... *swoon* ... even better, though, are the vintage "tourist" beaded hearts from the northeast. I have always wanted to collect those, but decided way too spendy for me .... *sigh* ....
If you win the lottery (without buying a ticket) it will be a miracle, but let me know and I'll drive us to Pottery Barn!!!
Hugs and drop by my blog for some halloween decorating ...

  5. Love the hearts, found a similar great beaded heart purse in Sister's, OR. this summer with Florence. Someone should make you a heart for that arm injury.
Wishing you a quick recovery and Pottery Barn dreams come true. Erin

  6. Those hearts would look lovely hanging on a Christmas tree, wouldn't they? Oh, the Pottery Barn catalog! I try not to even look at it, so many temptations that cost a fortune. One thing about Pottery Barn though, they do have very nice sales! Sheila thanks for the lovely post and I hope your arm heals in record time!!!!
