Warm and Happy Holidays to You

We celebrated Christmas on Monday night/Tuesday. That's when our son and grandson could be here. And you know what? It felt exactly like a "normal" Christmas. It was wonderful. It was our son, grandson, my mom (who lives with us), and the hubster and me. This little guy made it a wonderful Christmas. He appreciated -every- single thing (even clothes). I had asked Beth (our next door neighbor/friend/Mama of cute Owen-baby/photographer extraordinaire) to come before dinner to take a few pictures. We did a 4 generation pic, a group pic, a pic of Mom, and a pic of us together.

I only wish our other kids could have been here! Anyway, bless her heart, because nobody in this family (including me) likes to have their photo taken. My Mom reminded everyone how much I hated them when I was a little girl, crying for my school pictures instead of smiling. Mom thinks it's because I was shy which is true, but she neglected to mention how badly she chopped up my bangs each time, or curled my hair with horrendous curlers and the hairdos were ugh... awful!

Anyway, Beth is a Saint and here is one of the pics she shot Monday night.  I can't wait to see the rest of them!

  7. Merry Christmas to you! What a cute cute pic. of your grandson! It is miserable here. We've had tons and tons of snow with blizzard conditions. I had to cancel Christmas Eve dinner, no one could get here. Hubby got stuck trying to take t-man back to his mommy for about 2 hours!! He's on his way home now and even in a 4-wheel drive it's taking forever. I guess we'll probably have our Christmas sometime this weekend.
You need to frame that pic. it's just toooo cute!

  10. Hi Sheila, your little grandson is such a little cutie. I hope your holidays are everything you imagined.
Oh boy do I hate having my pic taken too. I did take my own and put it on the blog awhile a go, but I'm always so critical about pics of myself.
    Have a great week ahead.
    hugs
