And Pretty Maids All in a Row

Aren't these the cutest?? I love this type of salt and pepper shakers anyway, and when I saw them yesterday at a rummage sale for 50 cents, I couldn't resist. The glass portions remind me of little dresses. Won't they look cute dancing across a shelf in my work area? Can't wait! The only problem is the color. My studio is going to be white and cream with pale aqua and pink accents. These are obviously quite red, but I must make them work!

Oh yes, the studio. No, I haven't forgotten, it is still a work in progress. Joy has been such a huge help. Without her prodding I wouldn't have made it this far. Now I am ready to go gangbusters to get it finished! My soldering operations have overtaken the dining room table, and before I cleaned it up, it was all over the kitchen table. The thing is, I need one little area to collage with glue and paint and cut wee pieces of paper, and tape the pieces, and then another to solder. It isn't like I can put it away each time because it is such a big ordeal if I'm working on things almost daily. Sooo, I am anxious to get it completed and will keep you posted!

  1. I had SUCH fun at the rummage sale with you! Let's do another one soon! And I see you and auntie joy are of like minds, since you showed me your 'pretty maids' find and mentioned you'd put glitter in them :-)
