Local Bloomers Make Me Happy!

Aren't the tulips here amazing?  Seriously, Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm is right up the road from here! They have over 40 acres of beautiful tulips with Mt. Hood in the background.  "Tulip Fest" is going on until the 25th.

We are so blessed!
In other news...  my surgery went very well!  There were 3 kind of awful days, but now I am healing well and recovering my motion and keeping my shoulder iced.  It's not as bad as I feared and I haven't had any of the horror stories I've heard of occur.  HURRAY!

The weather here is glorious, the flowers are blooming everywhere...

But I must admit that the "bloomers" I'm most thankful for right now are my own!  (I can pull them up by myself now)!!!  I'm sure the DH is happy about that too!  Hurray!

The above pic is not an actual representation of my granny panties bloomers, but you get the idea.  My Grandmother would be very upset by my loose throwing around of "underwear words".  She called them "unmentionables".  There you have it, I've "mentioned" them!

Love,

  1. Hi, sweet Sheila!
Love your bloomers ... (both mentionable and not, hee hee!)
I gotta get to the Wooden Shoe festival! Hope it doesn't rain too much tomorrow and I might give it a try.
Hugs and glad to hear you are doing a bit better.

  2. Glad to hear you're up and running, atleast walking. Isn't it amazing how useful arms are and how we take them for granted until one doesn't want to work. Take advantage of the recovery time to "smell the roses" and visit the tulips!

  7. It seems to me , rotor cupp surgery is contagious. I just had it 6 weeks ago and every where i go someone else just had it. Are we all clumsy or what. The therapy is the worst part, don't you think? I will be glad when I can lift.
Let me know how you are doing.
